Mr. Block's Art Classes
Throughout history the
visual arts have been used as a tool to aid communities of
believers in worship. Examples
of this abound in the Bible.
The rainbow is a constant visual reminder of God’s care.
The Tabernacle was a structure richly designed with beauty
and symbolism. In fact Bezalel, the head artist for that project was the
first person in Scripture described as being filled with the
Spirit of God. The
created world is a constant witness of God, calling all people to
understand and worship God.
The art program at
Centennial Christian School is designed to continue in this
tradition. We strive to create art that encourages both the artist and
the viewer to reflect on the wonder of God as seen in all of
creation. This
reflection contributes to a more purposeful worship of the one who
upholds all that we see.
